i *knew* there was a reason i loved drinking yoohoo after sex!
Indiana University researchers come to startling conclusion: of the most effective drinks to help athletes recover after exercise is… chocolate milk
i am smart, and now i have science to prove it 😀
seriously, for all of you who haven’t tried it… yoohoo is the perfect post-humping drink

IHSA show #4 update!
last week was, by far, my favorite show to date for one reason: erik
it is *sooo* nice having a cute boy to snuggle all day!
it really makes the 8 hours of sitting and nothingness a lot better 🙂
he came in late friday night and we went to sleep
i loooveeee cuddling him it makes sleeping so much better
anyway, i digress.
the show was at this place Red Wing Farm somewhere in PA.
i rode a chestnut named Lance.
he was nice, but really just not my ideal ride
i had to really work to keep him going and well, i don’t know what it was but he just didn’t “fit” me
he wasn’t what i liked to ride
oh well.
still got 2nd place
what is with me always winning 2nd??
i’m not complaining, but 1st would be nice…
regardless, it put me up to 20 points, meaning i have classed up to advanced w/t/c
woot 😀
after the show erik and i and cori and ej went out to olive garden so they could interrogate and approve of him 😉
then we drove back to philly and picked
up Kern and went to go see Borat
i *highly* recommend that movie, btw
came home, went to sleep, and he left the next morning to drive to ct for work
i hate saying goodbye, my bed is so lonely after 😦
but i have have a riding lesson tomorrow and the last of the shows for this term on saturday and i am excited woo!
okay bedtime ❤

IHSA show #3 update
considering i have another horse show day after tomorrow, i might as well update about last week’s
the show was at Worthmore in Maryland again.
pretty early in the morning stuff started going crazy.
one of the girls in one of the jumper classes was riding this cute pony, and she was running him too fast through the course.
one of the fences he jumped too early, and his front feet came down right on the rails.
he tripped, and flipped over the fence.
he landed upside down on his back on top of the girl.
long story short, she wasn’t moving, they had to airlift her out…
i’m really hoping she’s ok
three other girls had some bad falls after her, very strange.
my class went well. i rode this cute 15.2hh bay named Mickey.
his saddle was incredibly slippery, so the whole time i was focusing on vice gripping my legs around him to keep them as still as possible.
i wound up getting second, and here’s why:
apparently at some point, he took a misstep and bounced me twice without me realizing it, putting me on
the wrong diagonal
i had checked my diagonals during *both* trots and was correct each time, so somehow i got switched without noticing. oops.
i was incredibly embarassed after i dismounted and everyone told me what i had done because that is *the* most beginner mistake you could possibly make, and i didn’t even notice 😦
BUT, to have still pulled off a second place finish with the wrong diagonal? incredible.
not to sound conceited but it shows what a damn good rider i am if i could fuck up that badly and still do so well 😉
that puts me at 15 points so far for the series. 3 more points and i have to move to the more advanced class.
wish me luck this weekend!

SEMA ’06 update

November 9, 2006

nothing too major to report, SEMA was fun as usual.
got there late tuesday night, i had flown to atlanta for a connecting filght to vegas and met up with erik on the plane.
he told me where we were staying was a “surprise”.
turns out, we were staying with Lomax and the guys from 12 Volt/DialD in a house they had rented for the week.
it was pretty sweet, we had a pool and a hottub and a bigscreen tv and our own bedroom.
spent the entire convention walking around talking to people and playing wife/secretary to erik.
i got to see a ton of my friends (i ❤ you nicoboys!), saw the garrett guys and meet some new people, as usual.
apparently, this year was the year of the domestic/classic muscle car, which i thoroughly enjoyed 😀
we went to the kicker party the second night there which was fun but outside so it was cold and that sucked, but they had a freestyle motocross demo with these guys doing backflips and other insane tricks.
after we went to the scion party at some club in the Hard Rock hotel and we had vip passes which was great (woo free alcoho
l!)
hung out all night, danced, partied, etc.
at one point a friend offered erik a million dollars if he could spend a night with me (sadly, he WAS serious but of course he doesn’t have the money) hah i thought it was wildly entertaining.
anyway, overall it was good, nothing too crazy, not boring, just right.
see you next year vegas!

November 9, 2006

man, school sure has changed since i was a kid…
i just opened my public relations book to go over some stuff for a quiz i have later tonight. on one of the pages was a picture of snoop dogg with a caption that read “the profizzle of lexicizzle himself” so i decided to read what the hell the book was talking about.
a direct quote:
“Words change so quickly these days that we even have new instant languages being created before our eyes.  Among them, the gangsta lexicon of one, Snoop Dogg, affectionately known as izzle speak, is designed primarily to confuse anyone who isn’t an urban Black rapper.
All of which means that for public relations professionals in the 21st century, properly interpreting messages to key publics has become a complicated proposition.
Fo shizzle.”
yup, my text book ACTUALLY said “fo shizzle”
wow.
